Skyline Plaza Thinking about renaming to: Almanor Station
In November 2023, we acquired Skyline Plaza at a real estate auction. The building’s shell was constructed between 2006 and 2008 but has never been occupied. Over the years, Skyline Plaza has changed hands at least three times. The structure boasts a total of 24,852 square feet, which can accommodate up to 14 tenants. Although there were initial attempts to establish a salon and a laundromat, these tenant improvements were never completed. During the significant snow season of 2022-2023, a portion of the roof collapsed due to a longstanding water leak. This leak led to decay in the top plate of the back wall, causing some of the trusses to fail and affecting two of the units.
Repairing Skyline Plaza has been and will be a costly endeavor, which will slow down our plans to open the building for tenants. However, we are committed to moving forward.
Tasks and Timelines
At Skyline Plaza, we envision a vibrant and bustling community hub that caters to a diverse range of businesses and services. Our goal is to transform this building into a premier destination where local entrepreneurs can thrive and residents can enjoy a variety of amenities.
We hope to open the Laundromat as our first tenant and then work towards realizing our dream of creating a Family Entertainment Center. Our current plans include an indoor miniature golf course, an arcade, and a "Duck Pin" bowling alley, among other exciting features. Additionally, we are considering incorporating a co-working space in part of the building to support local freelancers and small businesses.
In addition to the commercial spaces, we are exploring opportunities to host community events and markets, enhancing the sense of community and providing a venue for local talent and businesses to shine. Our dream is to see Skyline Plaza not just as a place of business, but as a cornerstone of the community where people come together, connect, and support each other. We are excited about the journey ahead and are committed to making this vision a reality.
We moved moved to Chester In January of 2024 but have a long history vising Lake Almanor. We also own Antlers Inn
and the new U-Haul Dealership located there.
